iCycle present 'Blind Dave' Heeley with a West Bromwich Albion themed Tandem Bike!

Queen Alexandra College (QAC) governor, Dave Heeley, known as "Blind Dave", was presented with a brand new West Bromwich Albion themed tandem bike that was assembled by the team here at iCycle, during the recent football match played between the Baggies and Manchester United at the Hawthorns Stadium.

The bike will be used as part of Dave’s next fundraising challenge and was presented to him at half-time during the game. QAC’s Business Development Manager, Colin Darling, represented iCycle and the College during the presentation on the pitch.  

Avid Albion fan Dave will be joining 30 other fans as part of the Baggies Bike Challenge 2016. He will ride 180 miles over three days on a tandem bike, between Norwich and West Bromwich from the 17th to 19th March. Dave’s previous achievements include being the first blind person in the world to have completed the ultimate endurance challenge of 7 marathons in 7 days on 7 continents and the team at iCycle are extremely proud to have been able to support Dave with his latest challenge!

Located in Bearwood, iCycle is one of several successful businesses owned by QAC, a national college for people with disabilities, with all profits paid back into the charity, helping to enhance the QAC experience for its students. iCycle sells bicycles, accessories and clothing for all aspects of cycling and is an authorised Cycle Scheme approved supplier.
